Attending THE 21st ANNUAL AUSTIN FILM FESTIVAL
From October 23-28, I’ll be a guest at The 21st ANNUAL AUSTIN FILM FESTIVAL, which is dedicated to advancing the art and craft of screenwriting. The four-day event features a multitude of panels, workshops, roundtables, script-to-screen studies, and mixers with working screenwriters, filmmakers, agents, managers and development executives. The conference sessions cover such basics as researching and editing your story, pitching and marketing your script or film, finding and working with a writing partner or director, and facing a blank page on a bad day.
Cash prizes and awards — known at the Bronze Typewriter — are given for a variety of feature and television film categories.
The festival also shows movies at theaters throughout downtown Austin and the surrounding area, including the historic Paramount Theatre.
Here’s a local TV news report about last year’s festival.
